Who says three word domain names don’t bring in big bucks at auction? Not me. Check out this auction for the sale of ConcertTicketsOnline.com.

    Phil:

I submitted what I thought were some great domain names to the Snap Names live auction coming up soon. I didn’t get any of them accepted - but that’s OK since this was my first attempt at anything like this. But I was really disappointed when the catalog of accepted names was published. My guess is 90% plus of those names were porn-related. What’s up with that?

Is that all that sells these days? What a sad commentary on the state of domaining if you can only get your names listed if they appeal to the perverts and slease crowd!

Is this trend really what I’m seeing or is this auction some kind of a fluke or special case?

    Thanks for any comments . . .

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

I had some names accepted but was surprised at some of the names that were rejected.

I’ve looked over the catalogs for the domainfest auction and I fail to see 90% porn related. Did you download the adult auction catalog that was held earlier this month by accident?
